In December 2025, CloverDX rolled out version 7.3 which featured significant enhancements that help data teams, engineers and business users work more efficiently, collaborate effectively, and gain actionable insights from their data projects.

In case you missed it, you can watch the full recap of the official release webinar below:

1. Collaborate more effectively in Wrangler with a new shared workspace

CloverDX users now have the option to use a Shared Workspace in Wrangler, which enables teams to work on jobs collaboratively without exporting, importing, or duplicating files. This also features a private workspace which allows individual users to experiment, draft, and validate changes before sharing jobs with the wider team.

  • Shared workspace: Edit and run jobs created by other team members.
  • Private workspace: Experiment and draft jobs, before sharing for collaboration.

What does this mean for users?

Teams can collaborate directly within Wrangler, reducing errors, eliminating redundant work, and accelerating the development of data pipelines.

2. Aggregate and summarize advanced data more easily using new Wrangler steps

CloverDX 7.3 adds three new Wrangler steps; Group by, Deduplicate, and Sequence, which simplifies complex data transformations.

  • Group by: Aggregate values such as sums, averages, or min/max.
  • Deduplicate: Remove duplicate rows based on configurable rules.
  • Sequence: Generate keys or ordered indices in datasets.

What does this mean for users?

Users can now go beyond simple row-by-row edits and use Wrangler also for broader range of analytical tasks, eliminating the need to switch to other tools.

3. Build more powerful transactional data enrichment with updated components in Designer and Wrangler

CloverDX 7.3 expands transactional dataset capabilities with new options for editing, updating, and writing data directly within the platform.

  • Add/Duplicate rows directly in Data Manager UI.
  • Expanded Insert / Upsert capability in TransactionalDataSetWriter.
  • Update data in transactional data sets from Wrangler.

What does this mean for users?

Engineering teams can build richer and simpler validation and data enrichment processes “in place” within the same data set.

4. Troubleshoot performance issues faster with AI-powered diagnostics

CloverDX 7.3 introduces the MCP (Model Context Protocol) API, allowing integration with AI models like Claude or ChatGPT for Server diagnostics.

  • Use the power of AI to query Server health, job status, and logs.
  • Surface issues faster than manual log analysis.
  • Can be retrofitted to CloverDX versions 6.0 or newer (via supplied MCP proxy).

What does this mean for users?

Teams can easily identify and resolve pipeline issues proactively, reducing downtime and increasing confidence in production workflows.

5. Enhanced data security with OAuth2 Authentication for Server APIs and Data Services

Server APIs and Data Services now support OAuth2 authentication, improving enterprise security. This provides enterprise-grade benefits that include:

  • Token-based access with identity providers (e.g., Azure, Google)
  • Eliminates basic username/password access
  • Aligns with modern enterprise security standards

What does this mean for users?

Data teams can securely publish Data Services and Server API access, to reduce the risk of breaches, and simplify integration with corporate identity systems.
