CloverDX 7.2 brings a great increase in productivity in Wrangler with the introduction of Clover AI Assistant – simply tell the Assistant how you want to transform your data in plain English, and it will build the Wrangler job for you.
Additionally, we’ve brought Wrangler and Data Manager closer together – now you can use transactional data sets from Data Manager as sources and targets in Wrangler.

Wrangler
- AI Assistant in Wrangler: Working with data in CloverDX Wrangler is now as easy as writing down your instructions in plain English – simply tell the Assistant what you want to do with your data, and have it figure out the steps needed to get the results you’re looking for. The Assistant can also generate job summaries or answer questions about your data sets or job steps.
- Working with transactional data sets in Wrangler: Integrate Data Manager and its data stewardship capabilities into Wrangler jobs. Flag data quality errors and push automatically to Data Manager where data stewards can fix the data.
Data Manager
- New data type “URL”: Add clickable links to e.g. an external system, a picture of an invoice, or a map link, etc. to your data sets. Use the URLs to build custom actions for your rows that can help you integrate 3rd party systems.
- Provide real-time data validation suggestions: Call Data Services whenever a user clicks on a given cell in Data Manager – so you can provide up-to-date value recommendations instead of just static suggestions.
- Search and Replace: Work with your data more effectively by replacing multiple values with one action instead of one by one.
- Integrate Data Manager to external applications more easily: Extended API for Data Manager means you can now create and edit data sets as well as work with data within them.
Other Updates
- Customizable error handling for OpenAIClient component: Customize the behaviour of the component when an error occurs, similar to error handling in other CTL-enabled components.
- CloverDX Server support for Java 21: CloverDX Server supports deployments with Java 21 for both Tomcat and Red Hat JBoss Web Server stacks. The Server now supports both Java 17 as well as Java 21.
